Meet the Board

The Nevada Association of Student Councils State Executive Board is elected at the annual State Conference each year by member school delegations. The State Board ranges from 15 to 20 members each year, and consists of region representatives, vice presidents, communication directors, and governmental affairs liaisons, all led by the executive directors and the state president. The NASC State Board meets multiple times per year around the State and is present at the many NASC conferences.
The Board members work hard to reach out to the individuals and schools they represent, and make themselves available for help. Also, the Board strives to help the state complete the presidential goals and the annual Charitable Financial Contributions goal.

State President - Alex Bybee

Picture
Hey there Nevada! I'm Alex Bybee and I have been elected to serve as President of the state executive board by the outstanding delegates of the 2011 NASC State Conference. Looking ahead into the future can often times be a difficult task, but passion and determination seem to pave a clearer vision of the things to come! The passion that I have for student council is unparalleled to any other activity I participate within my high school; the determination that I have to succeed within student council is apparent as well. By serving in a diverse collection of capacities, I am ultimately able to lead a diverse state. These capacities include: Secretary of Best Buddies, Member of the National Honor Society, Youth Legislator for District 8, and of course, student council representative. To take the skills and experiences I have learned from all of my positions and apply them to my overall leadership philosophy, I am able to lead with congruency. Obstacles in leadership are inevitable, but I am here to alleviate those obstacles! With the goals that I outlined throughout my campaign, I ensure you that we will strive to execute them with the utmost success. Nevada, let's work together this next year to create a positive environment for our high school's students and continue to lead with excellence!

I have already learned a lot in the few weeks I've had this position and I'm looking forward to working with all Nevada student leaders throughout this year. :)

AAAA2 Vice - Cecilia Fisher

Hey Nevada!  My name is Cecilia Fisher and I am the AAAA 2 Vice President for 2011-2012, and I go to Silverado High School where I will be the student body first vice president.  I am incredibly excited to be able to work with schools through out this state, and to be apart of all of their successes!  My biggest goal is to portray not only a reliable vice president to these schools, but also be able to connect on a personal level.  I want the 4A2 schools to know me as Cecilia, and not as their "vice president."  With that said,  I am most anxious to read all of the goal packets and know of the exciting things our Nevada councils participate in!  To me, this year is about succeeding as a whole, and by helping this individual schools to achieve Silver or Blue stars, Nevada will continue to be recognized as the outstanding leaders we know we are!
